About me
About me
Hi, I am Iris and I am a qualified Art Therapist (Adv.Dip.Trans.A.Th.). I am a member of ANZACATA (the Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association).
I am a mother of two and I love helping and empowering kids and adults to discover their own strengths and potential through expressive art.
My greatest passion is helping people .
This passion, combined with my science background, led me to study Art Therapy and become a Qualified Art Therapist. Supporting people in expressing their emotions, managing stress and anxiety as well as discovering their strengths and potential through creative expression, gives me a great sense of fulfillment.
My Experience
My Art Therapy experience is broad and varied. I have facilitated workshops for kids at After School Care and as part of Vacation Care Programmes as well as various groups for kids and adults. I have worked with kids with disabilities, the elderly in aged care facilities and conducted workshops for pregnant women.
I also facilitate creative wellbeing and meditation workshops in organisations.
I offer various group workshops focusing on the following:
- Women’s self-development and creativity
- Mindfulness and emotional wellbeing – getting in touch with your true self as well as your creative self
- Kids and Teenagers – encouraging them to express emotions as well as manage stress and anxiety in a creative and healthy way. Helping them enhance their overall wellbeing
- Mindfulness and Creativity team building workshops for employees in a corporate environment
Since COVID19 started I have been facilitating online workshops.
I also offer one-on-one sessions for adults and children. Online and face-to-face.
My approach
My approach is holistic and client-centered, respecting the individual and their values. Providing a safe and non-judgmental space for people to express themselves freely.
As an Art Therapist, I focus on people’s wellness, mindfulness and self-development.
I believe each one of us has the tools and answers within ourselves. Using creative expression helps access these tools.
I love being an Art Therapist as I can see how powerful expressive art can be in helping people heal, grow, feel more grounded and at peace.
“Love Nature has an amazing team of hard working professionals. It has been a pleasure to meet them.”
